Miami is a 10-mile strip between sharks and alligators, with significant transit demand and limited supply of transit infrastructure. Transit oriented development (TOD) is the only immediate solution to create a supply side solution that places residents near quality public transit to increase transit ridership and take cars off the roadways. TOD’s includes a mixture of housing, office, retail and/or other amenities integrated into a walkable neighborhood and located within a half-mile of quality public transportation. Learn about how these projects are typically structured as public private partnerships (P3s), the incentives available for real estate developers to build them and what is in the pipeline of TOD development for Greater Miami.
